Everything Buttercream - Beginning Cake Decorating

 In this six week beginning course, students will learn the basics of cake decorating including icing the cake, writing, printing, stars, figure piping, leaves and borders such as the star, shell, reverse shell and rope along with drop flowers, sweet peas, rose bud and the rose. Students will also learn more elegant techniques such as cornelli lace, sotas, basketweave and lattice.  Students will bring a cake weeks 2 through 6.  Fee is $50.00 plus supplies. 

Course 2 - Royal Icing Flowers

In this six week course, students will learn how to make royal icing and then learn a variety of flowers including flowers on a flower nail, in a lily nail and on wire.  The last night of class students will bring a cake and decorate it with the flowers they have made.  Fee is $50.00 plus supplies.
 

Fondant & Gumpaste

In this six week course, students will learn how to cover a round cake and a square cake with fondant, make a loopy bow, borders and drape with fondant.  We will then move on to making several flowers using gum paste including a rose, daisy and carnation.  Students must know how to ice a cake smooth before taking this class.  Fee is $50.00 plus supplies.
